Should Schooling Be...
This article is an interesting contrast to 'Questionable Assumptions About Schooling'. Where QAAS advises breaking from the old ways of teaching, this article suggests that nothing can be gained by doing so. Education does not end once one graduates. There are teachers who still learn more day by day. Education is surely based on both having a knowledgable teacher, but by experience as well, just as society itself thrives and evolves. It is neccessary to upgrade teaching practices in order to keep up with the ever-increasing amount of information there is to learn.

I agree with you...for the most part, I beleive knowledge can strongly come from experience. When teachers are not flexible and able to learn and grow, their students will not be flexible as well.
i agree with you that education continues once one graduates. The only shame in this post is that college students (people who are continuing education) are reading this. This blog is something that should be passed on to younger people becuase they are the ones who need to hear it, as well as some older people who thought that school was over after high school graduation. I strongly agree that education continues and i think it needs to continue to go forward instead of halting after graduation.
i would have to say that teaching is probably one of the most changing jobs out there. everything seems to be learned at such an earlier grade level now. for example, i started a 2nd language in 7th grade. my sister started in kindergarten. not only as we advance but as technology advances teaching changes more and more
